the clock itself is impossible to overlook, but it can make it you forget all about time.
Wempe’s precision pendulum clock is a powerful presence that embellishes any room. Its elegant wooden case is coated with 13 layers of lacquer.

Metal inlays on the front are another unique detail of this fine case. Also impossible to oversee: Its metre-long pendulum made of Superinvar, a special stainless steel alloy that is uncommonly resistant to change in temperature. Two aneroid capsules are attached to the pendulum to compensate for variations in barometric pressure, thus further improving the clock’s rate.

When atmospheric pressure increases, the aneroid capsules are pressed together, thus adjusting the weight downward. Lower atmospheric pressure allows the capsules to expand away from each other, thus raising the weight.
